An 11 year tradition

It's being a while since my last entry. Lots of good things to catch up but also lots of new things that are in the making.

This is Monica's 11th year taking Christmas pictures. It is amazing to look back and see how different they were when she started. Today over 1,000 families have a professional high quality family picture each Christmas. For lots of these families taking their picture with Monica Lagunas is a tradition as important as any other.

Monica broke the mold of what Christmas pictures were. Before her, people mostly took pictures in malls and shopping centers. One shot and that's it. She created a new concept by creating worlds of fantasy. Santa's workshop, or a kitchen, a candy store, a train station, a scene in the northern winter, etc. She got rid of the traditional Santa custom and turn Santa into a member of the family. Invited the four legged family members. She designs all the details to assure that families have an unforgettable experience that becomes part of the memories of their Christmas of the year.

Through Monica's pictures parents enjoy seeing their kids grow, kids see their parents age. Families increase in number of members while generations are added. It is like a time capsule that is updating constantly.

Monica considers a privilege being part of her clients traditions,  yet it is not uncommon to find that they bring a gift for her. Chocolates, cakes, handcrafts, or small details to express gratitude. Without forgetting the zillions of gratitude messages posted in social media, phone calls or e-mails.

Great job Monica!!! you rock!!!
